It’s a standoff between the front office and SJ’s agent, Eugene Parker. The same Eugene Parker who orchestrated Devin Hester’s two-day holdout / injury-fueled holdout. One of the Burwell articles I linked to yesterday ended with this:
Contract negotiations are a delicate game of give and take, and with Hester on the field, Parker and the Bears are talking again and a new deal is near. I wonder how long it will take for Parker to observe the same conciliatory stance with his other high-profile client.
