The Rams' inability to beat a 2-11 opponent at home -- with thousands of empty seats in the Edward Jones Dome -- deals a potentially severe blow to Jim Haslett's chances for a return as head coach.

This team needs a new voice
I love Haslett’s passion but it’s time they bring in a guy who demands respect.
I’m not into the first year coach thing anymore either

Couldn't agree more...
I wish I could justify bringing Haslett back, but I can’t see it…yesterday’s game is proof of that…if you can’t get the team up for a home game against a team that not only are they just as shitty as you are, but has beaten you like, 7 straight times, I don’t see how you could make a case for coming back.
and please, no hot new coordinators…i’d like someone with a track record, though it’s hard to see how anybody with a decent resume would want to come here.

You guys are evaluating Haslett in an unfair way, IMO
You thinking this group of players is good enough to actually win football games. They’re not. Should they have won yesterday? Probably, but they are accustomed to losing. It takes a long time to change that mindset and honestly, it takes for players to be removed and new blood and new attitudes to take their place.
Expecting Haslett to invigorate this group of losers is like asking him to perform an exorcism or a miracle. He’s not a miracle worker, he’s a football coach who needs legitimate players who can win some football teams.
Btw, I’m still on the “Bring Haslett Back Next Year” Bandwagon…….if you couldn’t tell.
The boys are all here for ya...we'll back you up...we'll be there...cause, Billy, we don't stink right now. We're the best team in baseball right now...right this minute...because of you. You're the reason. We're not gonna screw that up, we're gonna be awesome for you right now. Just throw.

Speaking of severe blows...
Steven Jackson was knocked out of the game for a good part of that crucial fourth quarter, per Jim Thomas.
Hard to go for the throat when your best weapon is on the shelf. Consider that all the Rams had to do was get a few first downs and they could at least have earned a fifth period of play, if not won outright.
"Attaway to stomp 'em. Stomp the piss out of 'em. Stomp 'em when they're down. Kick 'em and stomp 'em. Attaway to go boys. Pound that old Budweiser into you and go get them tomorrow." -- Joe Schultz
