Rams vs 49ers, week 11 preview thread

It's an afternoon game today, I think, this will be just the Rams second afternoon game of the season. Set your TiVo's to stun...

Haslett dropped some more nuggets about offseason plans to reporters on Friday. This time he was pointing out the Jets turn for the better this season after finishing with 4 wins last year. Note his reference to the offensive line and an upgrade or two on defense...

The Rams will be without Steven Jackson today, in case you hadn't heard.

Bulger is playing, starting, and if he gets protection that's a good thing because this is a great matchup for the Rams to get their passing game moving again.

Some more previews for you:

With records and playoff hopes not even close to being on the line for these two teams, you understand why it's a snoozer according to the national press and Neilson. However, for the two interim coaches leading the teams there's plenty at stake. Each being a relatively weak opponent, Haslett and his SF counterpart Mike "sans pants" Singletary will be expected to get back in the win column in order to keep the odds of hanging onto their head coaching gigs for another season. Both teams know they better play a damn good football game at the very least. Someone has to lose.

The line has the Rams as a 6.5 point underdog. If I were a betting man...

Antonio Pittman

It’ll be interesting to see how he responds to being publicly called out by Jim Haslett? What kind of day to you see him having?

Cannons... fire them.

Hard to say

It all depends on the O-Line. I don’t think he’s able to make things happen regardless like Jackson is often able to do, so he’s gonna need some holes. If he gets holes, he’ll put up some decent numbers, but I’m not gonna hold my breath.

Our country reeks of trees. Our yaks are really large. And they smell like rotting beef carcasses. And we have to clean up after them. And our saddle sores are the best. We proudly wear women's clothing. While searing sand blows up our skirts.

And the buzzards, they soar overhead. And poisonous snakes will devour us whole. Our bones will bleach in the sun. And we will probably go to hell. And that is our great reward. For be-ing the-uh Ro-yal Canadian Kilted Yaksmen!

the field

if they can do some damage early via the pass, that’ll open things up a bit for Pittman too
